Admissions
Milldown CE Academy is a beautiful school set just outside the heart of Blandford that welcomes children from Blandford town and the wider surrounding areas.
Choosing a school for your child is no easy decision. We therefore encourage every family to come for a visit and a cup of tea. This will enable you to begin to get to know us better, and us to begin to know you and your children.
During your visit, as well as exploring our wonderful surroundings and facilities, you will have a chance to spend time with our Headteacher.
Visit us and you will see a calm, warm intensity where all are taught to respect each other equally. We believe that all our children are custodians of the school and we encourage them to take responsibility for it, growing leaders and excellent young children in the process via our leadership groups and three bespoke curriculums.
We would love to show you the school in action. To book a tour with the headteacher, either phone the office or email them office@milldown.dsat.org.uk.
The governors of voluntary aided maintained schools (previously VC and VA) are their school’s ‘admissions authority’. Every year ‘admissions authorities’ must produce their school’s admissions arrangements (Admissions Policy) for the academic year which is two years ahead of the current school year.
Please see our Policies page for the most recent Admissions Policies.
